Expanded Christmas in the Gazebo had a little something for everyone

The Fountain Valley Historical Society’s 28th annual Christmas in the Gazebo, held Saturday at Heritage Park, had something for just about everybody.

This year’s event was expanded from three hours to six hours.

There was musical entertainment, lots of vendor booths, a baked goods sale, and, of course, a visit by Santa and Mrs. Claus (Tony and Susan Weaver).

And Hayden Allcorn, who has put on magic shows the last two years, added a new twist to his show with a couple of Wild West performances, in part, to recognize the historic 1898 Courreges Ranch tank house, which is now located at Heritage Park.

Ron Courreges, incidentally, was there giving “tours” of the tank house and selling commemorative bricks, pressed pennies and other mementos.

When children weren’t telling Santa what they wanted for Christmas, they could make crafts at a table hosted by Coastal…
